just like the blacks release but cheaper

downrigger release
have used several others and this style works the best for us. Never have false releases, and easy to break loose when you want to bring the line up. We usually target salmon and they have no problem breaking the release loose. smaller lakers sometimes can't pop it but if that's the case we could loosen the tension on the release, but actually you can see that the fish is on and just break it loose on your own. Great product works as designed.
