Fixed our issue
Great price and quick delivery. The only reason for 4 stars is that it seems to be made on the cheap side. The first one broke by us just hitting a bump while the motor was up and it broke off the tabs. I guess that is by design so that if you hit something in the water it will break rather than something else breaking but it seems to be too flimsy. Also... you have to knock some pins out to change it rather than a bolt or something that would be easier to do. I assume if you changed this out too many times the hole for the rod will become enlarged and then the pin won't stick any longer.

After reading reviews of the t-bar I understand the part breaks fairly easy, which is a good thing. Saves the shaft and mount from breaking away. The first trip out with new motor we dropped the stern of the boat on ground and t-bar broke. used it for years with a bolt to hold motor in right tilt position. Finally realized it could be fixed very easy with this part. Ordered 4, one to replace the broken part and the others for spares, at less than a dollar bill, you can't go wrong and will always have an extra. Believe me, when the fish are biting a mile a minute, you can count on something going wrong, but if it is this part no worries!!

Always have a couple spares on hand.
Minn Kota was smart to make this part the weakest link! If you are cruising along in shallow waters with weeds or in murky water and hit a submerged stump or rock this part is your tilt position lock and will break easily and before it breaks the transom mount bracket. It is very simple to replace and a great part to have with you as a spare.

The part came as shown and very quickly !!! Unfortunately, I didn't realize that I also needed the spring for my particular situation so double check that if you need this part.
