    Part arrive in a very timely manner. Fit great and did not need modification for my downriggers. Worked great.

    Walker Downrigger working again

    Broke the gear teeth middle of last season. Finally after almost 6 months of waiting for this part to be in stock I got one shipped to me. I wish Walker would have more replacement parts available on the market. Seems to be working ok in the shop. Ready to go this year with all my downriggers.

    I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to get parts for this older walker down rigger. I crossed my fingers and ordered this part, and it fit in perfectly.

    Frabrication Needed for Older Motor Connection

    If you have an older Walker Electric Downrigger and would need a new drive shaft assembly you will have to make a modification to the electric motor. After finding the sleeve housing of the shaft assembly was less in depth than the old housing by an inch. I called Fish 307 and found that the motor shaft that supports the drive shaft would have to be cut down to fit the "new" drive shaft. I used a Dremel with a metal cut off disk to cut off one inch of the motor support shaft so that the new drive shaft would fit. All seems to be working. Although it is a bit of a hassle I rated the product a 5 star in the fact that this is the only part you can replace the old part with and it was not that difficult of a process to complete.
